The IDEA application has been developed to improve the use of digital technologies in medical schools. As the problem of using digital technologies is complex and extensive, it is divided into 8 categories for ease of use:
1. Leadership
2. Collaboration and Networking
3. Infrastructure and Equipment
4. Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
5. Pedagogy: Supports and Resource
6. Pedagogy: Implementation in Classroom
7. Assessment Practices
8. Students' digital Competence
For each category, IDEA provides a brief introduction and links to further resources. IDEA has also been designed to provide advice on how to improve the use of digital technologies in medical education for each category. IDEA selects advice according to the current and desired state of digitalisation in each category.
Therefore, as a first step, IDEA should determine the current and desired state of digital technology use in the medical school. To do this, you will be asked several questions in each category (53 questions in total). You will need to select one of the five possible answers for the current and desired states. As you read the questions and select your answers, you will gain useful information about the issues associated with the use of digital technologies in a medical school. For ease of use, you will always be able to view your answers and change them if necessary. To speed up access to each question, IDEA offers navigation by question and by category.
You can only answer a few questions at a time and continue your answers at a later date. Therefore, you must register to use IDEA so that the application can save your answers. All you need to register is an e-mail address to which IDEA will send a confirmation message. After your confirmation you can use IDEA. The application is available in 4 languages (English, German, Italian, Polish) and you can change the language at any time.
Once you have answered all the questions for one or more categories, you will have access to the advice for these categories, selected according to the level of digitalisation for each category. To speed up access to each advice, IDEA also offers navigation by advice and by category.

Die Anwendung IDEA wurde entwickelt, um die Nutzung digitaler Technologien in medizinischen Bildungseinrichtungen zu verbessern. Da das Problem der Nutzung digitaler Technologien komplex und umfangreich ist, ist sie für die Benutzerfreundlichkeit in 8 Kategorien unterteilt:

Für jede Kategorie bietet IDEA die Möglichkeit, eine kurze Einführung und Links zu zusätzlichen Ressourcen einzusehen. Außerdem wurde IDEA entwickelt, um Empfehlungen zur Verbesserung der Nutzung digitaler Technologien in medizinischen Bildungseinrichtungen für jede Kategorie bereitzustellen. Diese Empfehlungen wählt IDEA je nach dem aktuellen und gewünschten Stand der Digitalisierung in jeder Kategorie aus.
Daher sollte IDEA in einem ersten Schritt den aktuellen und gewünschten Stand der Nutzung digitaler Technologien in der medizinischen Bildungseinrichtung bestimmen. Dazu werden Ihnen in jeder Kategorie mehrere Fragen gestellt (insgesamt 53 Fragen). Sie müssen jeweils eine der fünf Antwortmöglichkeiten für den aktuellen und gewünschten Stand auswählen. Bereits beim Lesen der Fragen und beim Auswählen der Antworten erhalten Sie nützliche Informationen über die Probleme bei der Nutzung digitaler Technologien in einer medizinischen Bildungseinrichtung. Zur Benutzerfreundlichkeit haben Sie immer die Möglichkeit, Ihre Antworten einzusehen und bei Bedarf zu ändern. Um den Zugriff auf beliebige Fragen zu beschleunigen, bietet IDEA eine Navigation sowohl nach Fragen als auch nach Kategorien an.
Sie können jederzeit nur einige Fragen beantworten und Ihre Antworten zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt fortsetzen. Daher müssen Sie sich registrieren, um IDEA nutzen zu können, damit die Applikation Ihre Antworten speichern kann. L'applicazione IDEA è stata sviluppata per migliorare l'uso delle tecnologie digitali nelle scuole mediche. Poiché il problema dell'uso delle tecnologie digitali è complesso ed esteso, è stato suddiviso in 8 categorie per facilitarne l'uso:

3. Infrastrutture e Attrezzature
4. Sviluppo Professionale Continuo (SPC)

Per ogni categoria, IDEA fornisce una breve introduzione e collegamenti a ulteriori risorse. IDEA è stata inoltre progettata per fornire consigli su come migliorare l'uso delle tecnologie digitali nella formazione medica per ogni categoria. IDEA seleziona i consigli in base allo stato attuale e desiderato della digitalizzazione in ogni categoria.
Pertanto, come primo passo, IDEA dovrebbe determinare lo stato attuale e desiderato dell'uso delle tecnologie digitali nella scuola di medicina.
